Pension calculator advice popular, says unbiased.co.uk

There are plenty of consumers out there aiming to find out more about how effective their retirement savings strategies are, according to unbiased.co.uk.

Chief executive of the firm Karen Barrett described it as no surprise that such advice is popular, since pensions can be a complex topic.

Her comments were made after unbiased.co.uk revealed 48 per cent of consumers using the website in September for financial guidance looked for tips on such issues.

She remarked: "Everyone should think about what they will do when they stop working and how they will pay for their lives in retirement."

Ms Barrett suggested the best way to put together a good savings strategy is to speak to an independent financial adviser, since they should have access to the whole of the market, rather than being limited in their options.

The company recently announced the launch of an application for the iPhone, which allows people to find out where the closest financial professional of this type can be found.
