Leeds Building Society product may suit credit card debt consolidation

Consumers looking to consolidate their credit card debt could use a new account from Leeds Building Society, which offers a year interest-free on balance transfers.

Such transactions will incur a three per cent charge, but then customers can enjoy 12 months without paying any interest on the Platinum credit card.

Martin Richardson, general manager of marketing and business development, highlighted how the product also gives people 0.5 per cent on their spending on the card.

"We have listened to what our customers have said and they have consistently asked for an account that offers these excellent benefits, along with the flexibility of online banking," he said.

In his view, the Platinum credit card offers a great combination of a competitive interest-free period and an attractive rewards scheme.

This month, Leeds Building Society is supporting Breast Cancer Campaign as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with pink ribbon badges being sold at the company's branches.
