Debtwatchdog.com highlights importance of debt relief information

People who are struggling with debt problems can benefit most from being offered information, according to a source from Debtwatchdog.com.

George Currie, founder of the advice website, suggested it can be empowering for individuals to haul themselves out of debt.

In his opinion, once consumers are given the knowledge on how they can organise their finances, there is a good chance that they can resolve their money worries on their own.

He explained that this can give people strength and confidence for the future, adding: "We always try and encourage people to deal with their own debt issue themselves where they can do and feel emotionally proud to do so."

Mr Currie urged anyone struggling with debt to write down all their outgoings and analyse where they can save money to pay off what they owe.

Recent research by unbiased.co.uk showed that Brits paid back 10p of debt for every £1 they saved in the third quarter of the year.
