Paragon aims buy to let mortgages at small-scale landlords

Landlords with relatively small property portfolios are the customers Paragon has in mind with a selection of new buy to let mortgages.

A variety of fixed rate and tracker deals have been unveiled by the firm and managing director John Heron explained that they will help the company to serve a "wide spectrum" of clients.

"The professional landlord remains Paragon's core focus; however, it has always been our intention to extend the product range following our return to the market," he said.

Mr Heron claimed there is significant demand for buy to let arrangements currently, with Paragon research suggesting brokers are confident about the year ahead.

According to its Financial Adviser Confidence Tracking Index, 46 per cent of brokers plan on upping the number of home finance deals of this type that they offer in 2011.

Among the new deals launched by the firm are a two-year tracker mortgage at up to 65 per cent loan to value, with interest set at +2.5 per cent.
