Chelsea announces launch of new five-year fixed rate deals

Prospective homeowners could be interested in the launch of two new fixed rate mortgage deals from Chelsea Building Society.

Following the completion of its integration with Yorkshire Building Society, the lender has revealed a new range of highly competitive mortgage products.

From May 17th ,potential buyers will be given the chance to choose from new 3.99 per cent and a 4.39 per cent deals.

Both mortgages are available with up to 75 per cent loan to value for customers, with each offer coming with its own fee.

Chris Smith, Chelsea Building Society's group direct mortgage manager, acknowledged an increase in the demand for five-year fixed rate mortgage deals.

He said: "These new five-year fixed rate mortgage offers broaden the range that's available to customers by adding longer term options to the existing range of Chelsea mortgages."

Yorkshire Building Society has recently announced the launch of a reduced application fee of £95 across a range of competitive mortgage deals.
