Co-operative announces reductions to mortgage rates

Prospective homeowners searching for a mortgage deal to cater to their needs could be interested in a series of changes to the Co-operative Bank's product range.

Through its intermediary lender arm Platform, the company has announced plans to reduce rates across a number of its offers.

Landlords could benefit from alterations to the mortgage lender's buy-to-let range, which is now available at 75 per cent loan-to-value for customers.

From today (June 7th), potential buyers are also able to select a new two-year fixed-rate buy-to-let product, with an arrangement fee of £950.

Lee Gladwell, business development director at Platform, said: "Platform is committed to providing brokers with a competitive range of products for them to offer to clients and the reduction in rates across the range, alongside decreased fees demonstrates this."

The company, which is regulated by the Financial Services Authority, has developed more than 165,000 mortgage deals worth over £16.36 billion.
