Ageas receives highest honour at British Insurance Awards

Individuals struggling to find a suitable insurer to provide cover for their items could be interested in the latest announcement from Ageas.

The company was the recipient of the general insurer of the year accolade at the British Insurance Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall recently.

News of the honour comes after a successful 12 months for the firm, including a record year of growth and increasing employment opportunities across the UK.

In addition, Ageas purchased Kwik Fit Insurance Services and Castle Cover, and also launched new venture Tesco Underwriting with Tesco Bank.

Barry Smith, chief executive of Ageas UK, said: "The past year has been a significant one for Ageas UK as we further grow our presence, under a new brand, in our key markets."

Earlier this year, the company reported an increase to its overall profits, as well as a surge in the popularity of non-life commercial cover.
