Friends Provident pensions offers new guide

Friends Provident is offering a new guide to help pensions advisers understand pensions simplification and better explain it to the consumer.

"Helping you to understand Pensions Simplification" has been launched ahead of A-Day in ten months' time, after which point new rules on pensions are set to kick in.

The guide contains a number of sections with headline facts, facts in detail, case studies and questions and answers.

Topics including tax-free cash, investments, trivial pensions, pensions ages and pensions options are all covered.

Jeremy Ward, head of pensions marketing at Friends Provident, said: "As part of our ongoing support for pension advisers, we have created a guide to address the extremely important area of pensions simplification.

"The simplification guide has been produced not only to provide the facts but also to show by example how the facts work in practice."
