Sainsbury's car insurance gets major re-launch

Sainsbury's car insurance has been given a major re-launch with its first national TV advertising campaign to promote the product.

The company claims that Sainsbury's car insurance premiums are among the most competitive currently available in the UK, promising individual savings of up to £180 for car drivers.

The supermarket giant also says that from November 2004 to April 2005, Sainsbury's car premiums were consistently among the most competitive top 25 per cent.

A multi-million pound marketing campaign has therefore been launched to highlight the competitiveness of Sainsbury's motor cover.

Jonathan Hewitt, director of insurances at Sainsbury's Bank, explained that the car insurance sector was one of the most competitive in retail financial services.

"We have a market leading product that offers a great combination of competitive premiums and quality cover and hopefully with our new TV advertising, we can take this message to a much wider audience," he stated.

"We believe that we are well placed for strong growth in the car insurance marketplace."

Sainsbury's car insurance also comes with a number of benefits, including a free courtesy car, full no claims protection and a no claim discount of 70 per cent in cases where no claim was made in the last five years.
