For a fee of £9.95 a month, the account customer will receive travel insurance for the family, additional protection to counter identity fraud and free withdrawals from foreign cash machines.
The accounts are designed to target those families who like to travel, and with Brits splashing out some £13.5 billion on holidays last year, it is likely to appeal to many.
Additional travel perks include 50 per cent discounts for UK hotel bookings and commission-free currency.
Joe Garner, head of HSBC's customer proposition, commented: "HSBC has always helped its customers save, and with the recent launch of our eight per cent Regular Saver, we are helping them to save very effectively. Now we are helping them spend effectively too."
Mr Garner added: "Giving extra choice, and offering tailored solutions for people with particular needs, HSBC's Plus account will clearly suit people who either love to travel or are worried about the impact of fraud."
