Yorkshire Building Society savings bond launched

A Yorkshire Building Society one-year variable rate savings bond has been launched that promises to give good rates to savers at all levels.

The new high interest bond guarantees to always pay 0.25 per cent above the Bank of England's base rate, with a high rate of five per cent gross/AER.

It also offers a monthly interest option for savers who are hoping to receive an income from their savings.

A minimum balance of just £100 is required, with additional deposits in the account able to be made at anytime.

Yorkshire Building Society Tanya Jackson pointed out: "Often high interest accounts such as this are limited to those with a lot of money to invest.

"The variable rate bond is a great way for all levels of savers to get a fantastic rate of interest which is guaranteed to remain above the Bank of England base rate."
