New Chelsea Building Society fixed-rate options launched

Chelsea Building Society has launched a new range of fixed-rate options, effective today.

Investors can now choose from a one-year or two-year fixed-rate option with the building society.

The one-year option has a monthly rate of 4.46 per cent gross per annum, and a yearly rate of 4.55 per cent gross per annum, fixed until September 12th 2006.

The two-year fixed-rate comes with a monthly rate of 4.51 per cent gross per annum and an annual rate of 4.6 per cent gross per annum, fixed until September 12th 2007.

Both have a minimum opening investment of £1,000 and a maximum of £500,000.

Kerri Morgan, investment marketing manager at Chelsea, said: "Fixed-rate saving accounts are easy to open and an attractive saving product for those looking for a medium term investment."
