Leeds & Holbeck three-year mortgage launched

A new Leeds & Holbeck three-year fixed-rate mortgage comes with no tie-ins and is available at rates from 4.99 per cent.

Leeds & Holbeck, which changes its name to Leeds Building Society in September, is the only lender to offer such a product on the market.

Customers can take advantage of unlimited capital repayments allowed each year without penalty and no higher lending charge up to 90 per cent loan to value.

The mortgage is available up to 95 per cent LTV and is fully portable if borrowers move during the fixed rate period.

Leeds & Holbeck are also offering free mortgage payment protection for six months and a 0.24 per cent discount for taking the society's home insurance

A completion fee of £495 is payable but a fee free three-year version will also be available at 5.49 per cent.

Karen Wint, head of marketing & PR said: "Fixed rates with no tie-ins always prove popular and we recently won a Moneyfacts award for the Best Fixed Rate Mortgage without tie in.

"This is the only three-year fixed rate in the market with no tie-ins and it will appeal to people who want certainty about their mortgage payments."
