Yorkshire Building Society five-year mortgage rate cut

A new rate on Yorkshire Building Society's five-year mortgage will be available from July 15th, making it one of the best five-year fixed-rate mortgage deals on the market, according to the UK lender.

The new mortgage features full portability should the borrower wish to move home during the fixed rate period, overpayments of up to ten per cent of the capital each year allowed without charge, early repayment charges only applicable during the fixed rate period and no compulsory insurances.

The home loan product can be secured for a booking fee of £195 and a completion fee of £300, with interest charged daily.

Rachel Court, head of mortgages at the Yorkshire explained: "Our five-year fixed-rate mortgage offers homebuyers, or those just wanting to move their mortgage, a great rate with flexible features and the security associated with a fixed rate mortgage."
