Woolwich Capital Plus Plan 8 launched

Woolwich has announced a new issue of Capital Plus Plan offering greater of 22.5 per cent minimum return or 50 per cent of FTSE 100 growth over six years.

The eighth tranche of the Capital Plus Plan is available from July 22nd till the 19th September 2005 and final returns are subject to averaging over the last 12 months of the term. Investors will receive a full repayment of capital provided they remain invested until maturity.

The six-year Plan offers investors one of two pay-outs, receiving the greater of a 22.5 per cent fixed minimum return or 50 per cent of any rise in the FTSE 100 Index.

Colin Dickie, director of Woolwich Plan Managers, said: "Despite a notable pick up in market over past 12 months, many investors remain unwilling to commit to equities, favouring 'money-back plus' styled investments.

"Our Capital Plus Plans fall directly into this category, offering a minimum total return of 22.5 per cent irrespective of how markets perform, however investors have the potential to better these returns because of the 50 per cent participation rate."
