First Direct webchat for customers introduced

First Direct has announced that its customer representatives will now be ready to go online to give information and support to customers via email.

The service will allow users the immediacy of a phone-call with the convenience of email.

If the service proves to be popular, First Direct has said it may add webchat into its internet banking service.

Customers wishing to use the service simply visit First Direct's website and click on the webchat button. A customer representative will then answer any questions or enquiries the user may have.
