NatWest fixed rate bond launched

NatWest will launch its limited edition one-year fixed rate bond today, which has a rate of 4.75 per cent.

The bond is aimed at people looking to get a guaranteed return on their savings over the next year and follows hot on the heels of their previous limited edition bond that had a rate of five per cent.

Helen Page, NatWest brand director, said: "We are pleased to be able to offer a further product of this type following the overwhelming popularity of last month’s limited edition bond."

The bond, which pays interest at maturity, must be kept for the full 12 months without any withdrawals being made.

The minimum amount that people can invest is £5,000 and the maximum limit stands at £20,000.
