Premiun Bond prizes lying unclaimed

The National Savings and Investments (NS&I) has revealed that over £25 million worth of Premium Prize bonds remain unclaimed and it is now launching a campaign to find the winners.

A total of 433,397 prizes remain unclaimed, with 19 per cent of those winners registered to be living in London.

Scotland holds the second highest number of unclaimed prizes, with £1,415,725 waiting to be claimed by those north of the border.

The NS&I has said this record number of unclaimed winnings is due to a combination of people failing to notify a change of address as well as a higher number of Premium Bond prizes than ever before.

Those holding Premium Bonds are thus being urged to check on the NS&I website if they have won any money recently.
