Britannia five-year mortgage launched

Britannia has launched a new five-year fixed rate mortgage starting from today.

The mortgage offers a rate of 4.39 per cent for customers and up to 95 per cent loan-to-value.

Britannia's five-year mortgage has an arrangement fee of £349 as well as an administration fee of £100. However, there is no compulsory insurance the mortgage is fully portable.

Tim Franklin, managing director of member business at Britannia, said: "This five year fixed rate mortgage is perfect for customers that like to know what their monthly outgoings are going to be, and allows customers to forward plan their finances."

He added that as the product is highly competitive, it is expected to be very popular.
