Nationwide US Dollar Savings account gets increased rate

Nationwide International Limited has increased the interest rate on its US Dollar Savings Account by 0.25 per cent.

This news comes after the US Federal Reserve Funds rate was also increased by 0.25 per cent earlier this year.

The rates for the Nationwide US Dollar Savings account will thus range from 3.3 per cent to 3.9 per cent from October 10th.

Carl Gandy, managing director of Nationwide International, said: "More and more people are taking advantage of this great product and we are pleased to provide such a competitive return on their savings."

Further features of the account include instant and penalty free access as well as a deferred interest option.

Finally the minimum balance customers must provide to open an account is $1,000 (£563) and more information regarding the Nationwide US Dollar Savings account is available on the Nationwide website.
