Tenet product comparison service launched

A product comparison service has been launched by LIME, the Tenet Group's mortgage and general insurance (GI) network.

The service, Infowise, was developed by Defaqto and aims to help advisers compare Home Insurance and ASU product data faster and more accurately so that they can better identify the needs of their clients.

"There is a risk that the industry, possibly because of the client's desire to keep the costs down, is not explaining the difference sin policies to clients," said Simon Hudson, group chief executive.

"There are so many potential risks to the consumer that the onus is on the adviser to fulfil their duty of care and recommend the very best cover that their client can afford – with the least escape clauses."

Mr Hudson added that the new product comparison service is "a valuable tool" to help the consumer compare products by looking at factors other than price.
