Nationwide Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance premium increased

Nationwide Building Society has announced an increase in the premium for its Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance.

All prices have increased by an average of 50 pence, still leaving the insurance at a "competitive" price.

The Nationwide Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance (MPPI) provides customers with cover against sickness, accident and unemployment.

In addition, customers who have been made redundant will receive help from Nationwide in the for of a The Way to Work programme.

Customers who are moving home or who are remortgaging will also receive the first three months cover for free.

Furthermore, the Nationwide Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance can be tailored to a customer’s needs.
