Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate mortgage launched

The new Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate mortgage has been launched with a rate of 4.24 per cent for the first two years.

Both new and existing customers can apply for the mortgage, which comes with an annual overpayment facility of ten per cent.

Furthermore, early repayment charges only apply during the first two years, when the rate is fixed.

Interest for the Yorkshire Building Society two-year fixed-rate mortgage is charged daily.

Rachel Court, the head of mortgages at Yorkshire Building Society, said that "the rate charges is on average 0.15 per cent less than a similar product charging annual interest."

The Yorkshire Building Society has 131 branches and 75 agencies nationwide where customers can learn more about the product.
