To celebrate the launch of the new AA life insurance, the financial services provider commissioned the Anatomy of Attributes Report to find out what makes Britons happy and proud.

First off, Brits rate their sense of humour as the most valuable personal characteristic, with less than 20 per cent saying they would most value their brain.

Kevin Sinclair, managing director of AA Life Insurance, said: "All too often, we don’t think to protect the things that really matter, even though we never know what’s just around the corner."

Meanwhile, the majority of Britons said the most valued time of their life was when their children were young.
