New Star High Yield Bond Fund celebrates anniversary

The New Star High Yield Bond Fund recently celebrated its third anniversary, which has since grown to incorporate three further bond funds.

All of these have "performed strongly" and altogether were valued at £1.8 billion at the end of September 2005.

This money was invested in retail fixed income assets, which has provided different levels of yield.

Commenting on the fund, Darius McDermott of Chelsea Financial Services, said he held the bond team at New Star "in high regard" and that it has outperformed across the range.

Meanwhile Ben Robionson of New Star, said the New Star High Yield Bond Fund provided "an income solution and risk profile to suit a range of investor objectives".
