Standard Life online agency registration service launched

The new Standard Life online agency registration service has been launched and is designed to eliminate paperwork as well as 'wet' signatures.

Advisers can now access adviserzone online and use this to apply for an agency with the provider via the "simple online process".

Peter Brutin of Standard Life said: "Over 20 firms have already used this successfully during our testing period and judging by the feedback we think many more intermediaries will find it a really welcome new service."

Advisers wishing to access the Standard Life online agency registration service can do so by visiting the adviserzone website and clicking on the appropriate link.

Yesterday Standard Life reported a five per cent growth in sales, which the financial services provider has partly attributed to the demand for self-invested personal pensions (Sipps).
