Alliance & Leicester fixed rate bond launched

Alliance & Leicester International Limited (ALIL) has launched a new limited edition one-year fixed rate bond.

The new bond launched by the offshore savings bank has a competitive fixed interest rate of 4.65 per cent.

Customers are able to deposit between £5,000 and £1,000,000 into the Alliance & Leicester fixed rate bond.

Savers can decide whether they have interest paid on the maturity of the bond or whether they would like it paid every month.

"Our competitive range of short term bonds continues to be exceptionally well-received by both new and existing customers, leading to the launch of our sixth issue this year – issue 20 of the limited edition bond," said Simon Hull, managing director of ALIL.

"As well as a highly competitive fixed rate, ALIL's one-year fixed rate bond gives savers the option of accessing the market again for the best deal in 12 months' time."

The interest can be paid either by transfer into another ALIL account or transferred to a bank or building society account. These accounts can be either in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.
