Leeds guaranteed one-year fixed rate bond launched

The new Leeds guaranteed one-year fixed rate bond has been launched, paying a rate of 4.8 per cent until February 2007.

Customers investing in the bond can access up to half their funds at any time without penalty or notice, a feature that provides ‘excellent flexibility’.

Furthermore, the minimum investment for the Leeds guaranteed one-year fixed rate bond stands at £5,000.

Karen Wint, head of marketing and PR at Leeds, said: "With the increasing interest in pensions and the uncertainty that people are facing, straightforward products like these offer a good starting point for savers."

The Leeds guaranteed one-year fixed rate bond also offers a monthly interest option.

Meanwhile, for those who cannot afford to invest £5,000, the Leeds Regular Saver account offers a return of five per cent with the minimum monthly deposit standing at £20.
