Capital One Platinum credit card offer withdrawn

The Capital One Platinum credit card per cent interest free term offer has been withdrawn.

It was one of the longest interest free term deals available to customers, lasting a "generous" 15 months.

Andrew Britchford, a personal finance analyst from moneyfacts, said: "This is a sign of the times in the current credit card market, with PricewaterhouseCooper recently revealing that the zero per cent money is costing the industry over £600 million per annum."

He also added that the number of cards that are charging balance transfer fees is also on the rise.

The Capital One Platinum credit card deal was initially launched in September 2005 and will end on December 1st.
