Skipton three-year fixed rate mortgage launched

The Skipton three-year fixed rate mortgage has been launched and comes with a rate of 3.99 per cent.

An early repayment charge applies for the loan until 30th September 2011, and the fixed rate period ends on 31st March 2009.

Customers can borrow up to 95 per cent loan to value (LTV) with the Skipton three-year fixed rate mortgage and will receive free sickness, accident and unemployment cover for six months.

Jennifer Holloway, head of media relations at Skipton Building Society, said: "Feedback from our branches and brokers alike is that fixed rate mortgages are still the loan of choice for many borrowers."

At the current rate, the mortgage is equivalent to monthly payments of £528 for a £100,000 mortgage with a 25-year term.
