American Express Clear Blue Credit Card rates changed

Rates for the American Express Clear Blue Credit Card have changed over the new year.

The variable annual percentage rate stands at 6.9 per cent on all purchases and the balance transfer rate is the same for the life of the balance, the company said.

Katherine Whitton, vice president and head of UK product management at American Express, said: "The new year offers many who have overindulged through the festive period the opportunity to spring into action and detox their finances.

"As consumers look to detox their finances in 2006, they should consider the American Express Blue Credit Card."

Double moneyback for the first three months lies at up to two per cent on almost every pound spent, the company said.

Cards can be applied for through the American Express website and offer global travel assistance to customers.
