Cheshire credit repair mortgage dispels fear

A Cheshire credit repair mortgage can now be applied for online, it was announced today.

The move means that customers with a low credit score can now apply for a specialist mortgage in complete privacy, the building society said.

This is the first time that a mainstream lender offers fully automated applications over the internet, the Cheshire said.

"Our fixed rate credit repair mortgages are already proving popular, however, we want to make them more accessible to people who would perhaps feel intimidated going into a branch and talking with an adviser about their personal finances," said Debbie Harrison, head of e-channels for the Cheshire.

Homebuyers who have a compromised credit history can apply for credit repair mortgages. These could in turn improve customers' credit ratings and eventually make them gain access to mainstream products.

The Cheshire credit repair mortgage comes with a fixed rate of 5.87 per cent until August 31st 2008. After this period it changes to the standard variable rate, which is currently 6.54 per cent.
