West Bromwich ten-year fixed rate mortgage launched

The West Bromwich ten-year fixed rate mortgage has been launched, offering customers a rate of 4.69 per cent.

Promising to be "fantastic value for money", the mortgage offers a maximum 95 per cent loan-to-value (LTV) as well as facilities for payment holidays, underpayments and overpayments.

Remortgagers can benefit from free legal fees but all borrowers must pay an arrangement fee of £449.

Stephen Karle, operations director at West Bromwich Building Society, said: "There is the assurance of letting borrowers know exactly how much they will pay over the term of the mortgage, while having the further advantage of allowing for stable financial planning."

Furthermore, the lender has said that the government praises long-term fixed rate mortgages as they offer customers "security and reliability".
