Rooftop Light Adverse range rates reduced

Rooftop Mortgages has announced it is reducing mortgage rates on its Light Adverse Range.

The Rooftop Light Plus two-year fixed rate status and self-certification mortgages will both see their rates reduced by 0.1 per cent to 5.89 per cent and 6.14 per cent respectively.

Reductions in Rooftop Light Adverse rates come at a boom-time for fixed rate mortgages, which "haven't been this popular since 1998", according to the lender.

The Light Combi two-year fixed rate mortgage in the Rooftop Light Adverse range will see its rate reduced to 6 per cent, down by 0.24 per cent.

Similarly, the Light Combi self-certification two-year fixed rate mortgage will see a 0.2 per cent decrease in its rate to 6.29 per cent.

Alison Beech, sales and marketing director at Rooftop Mortgages, concluded: "We're delighted to be able to offer these popular products with reduced rates."
