Principality bilingual mortgage service launched

The Principality bilingual mortgage service has been launched, aimed at Welsh customers shopping for mortgages online.

Online applications for mortgages can now be made in English or Welsh and Principality hopes to attract more buyers by offering this service.

Speaking about the site, Ian Davis, e-commerce marketing manager at Principality, said: "Our website has been designed based on the needs of our customers with high standards of accessibility and usability - which is key to its success,"

Alun Pugh, the Welsh minister for culture, the Welsh language and sport, said the site was an "innovative resource" that allows customers to make "one of the biggest commitments of their lives" in the language of their choice.

The Welsh Language Board has also endorsed the Principality bilingual mortgage service and says the mortgage lender is showing an "excellent example" of providing a "comprehensive service" to speakers of the Welsh language.
