Standard Life Aaa Cash Funds come out top

The Standard Life Aaa Cash Fund’s two sub funds - the euro and sterling - have performed well in the money market funds for 2005.

The euro fund, which has won top prize for a fourth consecutive year, is managed by Euan Sanderson and returned 2.13 per cent for Standard Life Aaa Cash Fund customers.

Meanwhile, the sterling fund, managed by Elaine Cairns, returned 4.74 per cent and came out joint top - outperforming 64 competitors.

John Cummins, head of treasury at Standard Life Investments, said: "The money market arena is extremely competitive and to perform to such a high standard not over just one year but many is a real achievement."

The funds are aimed at corporate investors with a medium dated cash balance.
