John Charcol three-year tracker mortgage launched

The John Charcol three-year tracker mortgage is available now and comes with a rate of 5.6 annual percentage rate (APR).

Tracking the Bank of England base rate plus 0.19 per cent for three years, the mortgage has a maximum loan to value of 85 per cent.

Furthermore, the rate reverts to a standard variable rate (SVR) of 5.7 per cent after the three-year fixed term.

Ray Boulger, senior technical manager at John Charcol, said: "This mortgage is even better as, unlike many offset mortgages, it allows borrowers to link a current account to their mortgage as well as one or more savings accounts."

Customers of the John Charcol three-year tracker mortgage must pay an arrangement fee of £699.

Meanwhile, those wishing to remortgage will get free legal fees and a free valuation up to any amount.

"Offsetting is la creme de la creme of flexible mortgages, combining full flexibility with maximum convenience," Mr Boulger concluded.
