Changes in Scottish Widows Bank Lifetime Mortgage range

The Scottish Widows Bank Lifetime Mortgage range has seen changes in its interest rate.

A rate of 6.2 per cent will now be placed on the offer, a drop from the previous 6.44 per cent.

Alterations have also been made to the procuration fee on the range – the previous level of one per cent has been cut by 0.25 percentage points.

This fee has a minimum level of £300 and a maximum of £2500 on all mortgage amounts.

Scottish Widows' head of product development and marketing Murdo McHardy said: "The latest changes to our products reflect not only the competitive nature of our products but also our commitment to the intermediary market."

The Scottish Widows Bank Lifetime Mortgage range changes will be effective as of February 6th 2006.
