Standard Life Investments Dynamic Distribution Fund introduced

A Standard Life Investments Dynamic Distribution Fund (DDF) will be launched today.

The deal is intended for investors who hope to enhance their income or improve their portfolio by investing in "actively managed, multi asset classed funds".

Holdings of Standard Life's new trust will mainly be in UK equities, property and bonds.

The company's current record in the management of distribution funds is sound, it claims.

One of its products – a Net Distribution Fund – reportedly achieved top quartile performance over the course of three and five years.

It is hoped that the Standard Life Dynamic Distribution Fund will be diverse in its interests, as it will focus on collective schemes already managed within the company's investments group.

Standard Life's DDF fund manager Jacqueline Kerr said: "By capitalising on our existing fund management expertise we are structuring a fund-of-funds product that invests in the asset classes we already have an excellent track record in."
