L&C two-year tracker mortgages launched

London & Country (L&C) has announced a pair of L&C two-year tracker mortgages – both of which will have rate set below the Bank of England base rate.

An arrangement charge of £599 will be placed on the first deal, which will track the base rate at a reduction of 0.25 per cent for two years.

The second deal asks a fee of £1,499 and will run at 0.51 per cent below the Bank of England's level.

L&C claimed that the details of the latter deal make it better suited to customers planning to take out large loans.

James Cotton, mortgage specialist at L&C, said: "These two deals combine exceptional rates with valuable incentives for remortgaging. The 4.25 per cent rate will have mass appeal, whereas the 3.99 per cent will offer excellent value to borrowers with large loans."

Both of the L&C two-year tracker mortgages are available at up to 85 per cent loan to value and offer free legal work and valuation.
