F&C Investment Trust Isa introduced

Investors are today being given the opportunity to move all of their existing Isa savings into a single account with the F&C Investment Trust Isa.

The company's previous deal had a £50 setup fee – £25 to switch and £25 upon exit – which has now been dropped to leave a single £60 charge plus VAT.

An extension has also been made to the number of trusts on offer – savers now have 14 options to choose from.

Other possibilities include the ISIS Smaller Companies Trust and the F&C Global Smaller Companies Trust. Both of these are recommended for customers who intend to take a more "aggressive approach" to their investment.

The F&C Investment Trust Isa is described as a "one-stop" product, which offers a "diversified portfolio" of international equities.

Linda Webb of F&C Investment Trusts said: "By reducing the charges and widening that investment choice, the F&C Investment Trust Isa is an even more attractive tax savings vehicle for investors who appreciate the advantages offered by investment trusts."

F&C is a pan-European company and claims to manage £131.04 billion worth of funds.
