M&G Investments Managed Fund rated

An M&G Investments Managed Fund has today been awarded a AA rating by market adviser Standard & Poor's.

The fund invests in a combination of M&G equities and fixed-income funds with the aim of maximising long-term growth and has access to a number of different countries and sectors.

This range of areas for investment offers protection through diversification, according to the company.

M&G's top three accounts are the Pan-European Fund, the UK Growth Fund and the UK Select Fund, all of which reportedly delivered top quartile performance in 2005.

Head of the M&G Equities team, David Jane, said: "My aim is to increase the long term wealth of the fund's very large customer base and to do that I need to ensure that I'm pulling all the levers I can in terms of investment decisions."

The M&G Investments Managed Fund recorded an investment return of 27.2 per cent last year, exceeding the sector benchmark of 26.5 per cent.
