Northern Rock Two-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgage among changes

The Northern Rock Two-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgage and Flexible Tracker Mortgage have both seen the addition of a 75 per cent loan to value (LTV) tier.

Rates on the two-year offer are variable based on the product fee, product website Mortgage Introducer reports.

An interest level of 3.99 per cent will apply to the Northern Rock Two-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgage if customers take up a 1.5 per cent fee.

On a £695 charge, a 4.69 per cent rate will come into effect and if no product fee exists then the interest rate will be 5.09 per cent.

The two to five-year tracker options available with Northern Rock have interest rates ranging from 4.89 to 5.29 per cent based on the product fee and the tracker-for-life packages have rates from 4.99 to 5.39 per cent on the same basis.

It was also stated by Northern Rock that it offers residential and buy-to-let mortgages, which include features such as unlimited penalty-free overpayments, daily interest and payment holidays.

Northern Rock is the eighth largest UK quoted bank by market capitalisation and the largest in the north-east.
