Yorkshire Building Society e-ISA an option for savers

The Yorkshire Building Society e-ISA has been promoted among its range of savings accounts with which savers could utilise their annual tax-free allowance.

Customers are entitled to up to £3,000 tax-free savings per year and, according to the building society, one of the most popular ways of doing this is with a mini cash ISA.

The company offers a range of savings schemes, including the Yorkshire Building Society e-ISA, which has a gross interest rate of 4.9 per cent and requires a minimum opening balance of £10.

A 30-day notice ISA is also available, which allows monthly interest payments, as well as an ISA Plus deal with a rate of 4.35 per cent.

Chris Edwards, head of savings at Yorkshire, said: "I would urge anyone who has any savings to check that they are making the most out of their tax-free savings allowance before April 5th – and if they're not they should come and talk to us!"

The Yorkshire Building Society e-ISA is exclusively available through the internet and guarantees that its interest rate will not fall more than one per cent below the Bank of England's base rate.
