OMAM Old Mutual Spectrum Plus Fund announced

An OMAM Old Mutual Spectrum Plus Fund is being launched by the UK investment division of Old Mutual Asset Managers (OMAM).

The company claims that the fund is being initiated in response to a customer demand for funds with high return targets and closely managed risk budgets.

A return rate of invested cash plus 12 per cent per year has been targeted by the company, as well as a volatility level of 12 per cent.

Richard Tomlinson, head of OMAM's multi-strategy products team, described the new fund as a "logical extension" to the company's existing, lower risk funds, the Old Mutual Spectrum and Old Mutual Prosper 80.

"The new fund is managed using exactly the same proven investment approach, utilising our managed account platform," he added.

The OMAM Old Mutual Spectrum Plus Fund will be fully available in April and listed on the Channel Islands Stock Exchange.
