JPMorgan Cautious Total Return Fund an option for savers

Savers interested in broader savings options than those offered by mini cash Isas should consider deals such as the JPMorgan Cautious Total Return Fund, according to the company.

The asset manager claims that cautious and cash investors could be missing out on Isa returns if they do not consider saving beyond their £3,000 mini cash allowance.

These investors should consider the 'cash plus' sector, the company recommends, which is available through their stocks and shares Isa allowance, and includes total return funds which offer cautious savers the option to place their money in lower-risk options.

The JPMorgan Cautious Total Return Fund is one such account, which aims to generate cash plus three per cent returns after charges.

Returns are not guaranteed, but the company intends to reduce risk by diversifying investment across various country and asset classes.

Jasper Berens, head of UK retail sales at JPMorgan, said: "Those investing with a longer time horizon now have the opportunity to invest another £4,000 of their stocks and shares ISA allowance in the JPMorgan…Fund, which since launch, has delivered plus 6.8 per cent against its benchmark."

Customers interested in the JPMorgan Cautious Total Return Fund can take advantage of a one per cent discount on the initial charge for investments of £3,000 or more made before May 31st.
