Alliance & Leicester Premier Regular Saver rates extended

The ten per cent annual equivalent interest rate (AER) on the Alliance & Leicester Premier Regular Saver account has today been extended until the end of April.

This offer is available to customers opening a new Premier or Premier Direct current account with the firm.

It was also announced that the five per cent AER credit interest rate on these accounts has also been extended. Customers who open before April 3rd will have this rate fixed until June 30th 2007.

Simon Ripton, current accounts manager at Alliance & Leicester, said: "Our Premier and Premier Direct current accounts are recognised as being the best on the market by far and this savings account provides an even greater incentive to switch to us."

Fixed monthly payments of between £10 and £250 are required to maintain the Alliance & Leicester Premier Regular Saver.

After 12 months, the balance held in the account, including the interest, will be paid into the customer's Premier or Premier Direct current account.
