New Portman Regular Saver ISA unveiled

Portman Building Society has launched two new individual savings accounts (ISAs) to its product range.

The new Portman Regular Saver ISA offers an interest rate of eight per cent for those hoping to build up their savings through regular deposits.

A maximum investment of £3,000 can be made over a period of 12 months, following an initial deposit of at least £50.

In the final month of the savings term, account holders can top up their Portman Regular Saver ISA to its full ISA subscription allowance.

Portman has also launched a 15-day notice ISA that pays an annual equivalent rate of 4.9 per cent tax-free and that the provider claims is "even better" than its predecessor, the 25-day notice ISA.

"It is important that savers take advantage of one of the last tax breaks available to them, so we have designed two new ISA products which will suit consumers who want to save in different ways," comments the provider's group communications manager, Helen Shaw.

As the Portman Regular Saver ISA is a limited offer, Ms Shaw is urging savers to take advantage of this offer as soon as possible.
