Leeds Building Society releases One-Year Fixed-Rate Bond

Leeds Building Society has announced a new one-year fixed rate bond which it believes will offer "a very competitive rate and the peace of mind" for its customers.

The one-year fixed-rate bond allows as much as 50 per cent of the initial invested amount to be accessed, with up to 4.75 per cent guaranteed return, with no notice or penalty.

Stuart Fearn, product development manager, pointed out that this was also the case for Leeds Building Society's five per cent three-year bond which was recently launched.

He added: "The minimum operating balance is only £5,000 and interest is paid annually, which can be added to the account, or monthly, offering customers greater flexibility.

"We expect this account to be popular and additional investments are only allowed whilst this limited issue remains open."
