UCB Home Loans unveils new Fixed-Rate Mortgage deals

UCB Home Loans has revealed a new range of fixed-rate mortgages and tracker-rate mortgages, while ending the remortgage deal it had offered in recent months.

Available from April 10th, the company is providing a two-year and three-year flexible fixed-rate mortgage deal at 5.29 per cent.

It is also offering a two-year non-flexible tracker mortgage at 5.19 per cent and a two-year flexible tracker at 5.49 per cent for advances up to £199,999. Anything in excess of this will be available at 5.39 per cent.

Keith Astill, UCB Home Loans managing director, explained: "Standardising interest rates at 5.29 per cent on all of our flexible fixed-rate products provides us with a strong and clear position that enables borrowers to make a choice to fix their term for two, three or five years without being influenced by rate."

He added: "The remortgage offer was extremely well received by our brokers and customers. However, it was a limited offer and we've decided to remove it from our product range for the time being."
